REBELLION LAUNCHES 2000 AD GRAPHIC NOVELS

Rebellion, owner and publisher of 2000 AD and the Judge Dredd Megazine, is publishing two brand new graphic novels, featuring the stories Glimmer Rats and Rain Dogs. Both books are European style ‘albums’, and will appear in stunning full-colour large format hardback editions.

The two new graphic novels mark the start of an ongoing publishing effort from Rebellion, which will feature over forthcoming months a regular schedule of graphic novels. In the future other titles based on the many fantastic worlds of 2000 AD, such as novels, art books and reference books, will also be published.

It is envisaged that these books will run alongside the titles currently being published by Titan Books, with Titan publishing collections featuring the mainstream 2000 AD characters, and the 2000 AD imprint releasing prestige limited editions of the best one-off stories and more unusual characters.

Jason Kingsley, CEO of Rebellion and 2000 AD, says, "2000 AD has a glorious 25 year history of publishing some of the best comics writing and artwork in the world, but back issues can be difficult to find and a pain to store. With this new range of books, we are making it possible for fans to get hold of classic 2000 AD stories in durable and attractive collectors’ editions."

Glimmer Rats and Rain Dogs will be published on Monday 29 April at a price of £10.99 each, and will be available from the online shop, as well as any good comic shop.

Rain Dogs

Global Warming

The ‘Big Rain’ has turned New York into a twisted warren of river canyons and skyscraper archipelagos where danger lurks both above and below the water.

Cold Comfort

While the remnants of the city’s population fight for a place among the ruins, others have persevered with their technology intact, surveying the less fortunate with cool detachment.

Hard Facts

When a scientist named Eve crash lands in what was once mid-town Manhattan, she realizes that in order to survive, she must put her trust in one of the ‘savages’ - a salvage hunter named Holly - who is as at home in this new wilderness as Eve is a stranger to it.

Gordon Rennie is still one of 2000 AD’s most respected Judge Dredd writers, and has created a load of other stuff too. Colin Wilson is a long serving 2000 AD artist, famed for his artwork on Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper.
